ABOUT ME

Elisabeth Mahoney
ARCHITECT/OWNER
I have 22 years of experience in architecture including work on residential projects and historic preservation of public and private buildings. More recently I have worked on new construction, mainly high-rise residential and office buildings in urban environments.

I am most passionate about adaptive reuse and the repurposing of structures. This comes from a concern for sustainability and resiliency that we and our built environment need in light of climate change and social stresses.
The preservation of the historic fabric of our communities will help us be more resilient in the face of disaster and stress. The buildings that surround us are like old familiar friends that can provide certainty and comfort in an uncertain world. Additionally, repurposing existing structures keeps building materials out of the landfill and reduces the need for new materials that emit CO2 and other gases when produced.

No matter the project type or size I am most interested in finding creative solutions that work with your budget and schedule. High quality details and materials are important to ensuring that a renovation project lasts many more lifetimes.
